King George Corridor is a long stretch that runs through the heart of South Surrey. Following the King George Highway, the area has a large variety of homes and attractions. There is a diverse selection of homes in the area including single family homes, condos, townhouses, and senior residential communities. The King George Corridor is the site of several prestigious communities such as Heritage Trails, Semiahmoo Trails, and Rosemary Heights.
SCHOOLS
There are a number of schools whose catchments cover the King George Corridor: Semiahmoo Trail Elementary, Sunnyside Elementary, Bayridge Elementary, Jessie Lee Elementary, and South Meridian Elementary. Public high schools in the area are Semiahmoo Secondary and Earl Marriott Secondary. Earl Marriot Secondary is also home to the French Immersion program. Southridge Private School and White Rock Christian Academy offer education for students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. Also, for the youngest students, the prestigious Core Education & Fine Arts (CEFA)provides Baby Program and Junior Kindergarten options.
RECREATION
In the heart of the area is Sunnyside Park, a large park made up of an outdoor swimming pool, baseball diamonds, soccer fields and well-kept playground. The King George Corridor is also in close proximity to the South Surrey Athletic Park.
SHOPPING AND RESTAURANTS
Since King George Corridor runs through the center of the South Surrey community, there is shopping in all directions. Areas like ; “The Shops” at Morgan Crossing, Grandview Corners, Windsor Square, and Semiahmoo Shopping Centre offer shoppers a variety of shopping destinations with a WalMart Supercentre, Home Depot, Future Shop, and The Brick nearby. To the south is the US border, just 20 minutes to Bellis Fair Shopping Mall.
