Hazelmere

Hazelmere was one of the earliest parts of South Surrey to be settled. When the New Westminster Southern Railway was routed through Hall’s Prairie, more people migrated to the area. Service for the railway was discontinued in 1917. Hazelmere is rich with many parks, trails, and large acreages on the rolling hills. The area is currently being rezoned with new developments popping up near Campbell Valley on the East side of the area.

SCHOOLS

There are two Elementary schools serving Hazelmere; Hall’s Prairie Elementary serving the Southern half of the area and, East Kensington Elementary serving the Northern half. Hazelmere falls within the catchment for Earl Marriott Secondary which also offers a French Immersion program. If private schools are more of preference, Southridge Private School and White Rock Christian Academy offer education for students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. Also, for the youngest students, the prestigious Core Education & Fine Arts (CEFA) provides Baby Program and Junior Kindergarten options.
