Elgin & Chantrell

Surrounded by parks and located at the highest elevation on the peninsula, Elgin / Chantrell is characterized by sizeable homes on large lots in planned subdivisions. SCHOOLS

Chantrell Creek Elementary is situated in the heart of the area while Crescent Park Elementary is very close by on the Western border. Semiahmoo Trail Elementary can be found in the North East corner of the area. For high school,  Elgin Park Secondary is located on the southern border, within walking distance from most homes in the area. If private schools are more of preference,Southridge Private School and White Rock Christian Academy offer education for students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. Also, for the youngest students, the prestigious Core Education & Fine Arts (CEFA) provides Baby Program and Junior Kindergarten options.

RECREATION

The borders of the Elgin Chantrell area are mostly defined by the parks nearby. Crescent Park, one of the largest parks on the peninsula offers a variety of walking trails, open fields, and covered picnic shelters. There are many other facilities to fit your family needs in the area, including South Surrey Athletic ParkSouth Surrey Arena.

SHOPPING AND RESTAURANTS

Elgin Chantrell is mostly made up of a suburban landscape and parks; shopping can be found a short distance in any direction. To the southwest, you will find the  Ocean Park Village Shopping Centre with its supermarket, banking, and other small shops. Morgan Crossing and Grandview Corners offer a variety of outdoor malls, specialized shops, and large department stores, only a few minutes to the East.
