White Rock is located in the most southern area of the Lower Mainland, only 5 minutes from the Canada and United States border and 45 kilometers from Vancouver. It’s known as a seaside community clustered around an 8-kilometre sandy beach. Homes in White Rock range from acreages on the bluffs to condos in the growing city center. Many homes in the White Rock community enjoy spectacular ocean views.
SCHOOLS
As one of the most established neighbourhoods on the Peninsula, the school possibilities for all ages are plentiful. The elementary schools in the area are White Rock Elementary, H.T. Thrift Elementary, Peace Arch Elementary and Ray Shepherd. The secondary schools in the White Rock area are; Semiahmoo Secondary School, located just North of the city; and Earl Marriot Secondary, situated in the North Eastern corner of the area. Earl Marriot Secondary is also home to the French Immersion program. Private schools near White Rock are White Rock Christian Academy and Southridge which offer education for students from Kindergarten to Grade 12.
RECREATION
The oceanfront promenade is the perfect place for shopping or strolling year-round and is fully accessible. It is home to the heritage pier, train station, and large beached “white rock” that give a unique ambiance to the area. White Rock beach attracts many people through the summer months to enjoy the warm shallow waters of the Semiahmoo Bay. The many art studios found here showcase the beauty of the area, and it’s natural surroundings.

There are four shopping districts found in the area, Five Corners, Uptown, East & West Beach, each with its unique feel. White Rock is home to many distinctive cafes, restaurants, pubs, and ice cream shops. There is so much to explore in this bustling oceanside community.
